I think Sainiks should spend some serious amount of money to produce a slick flick on ‘Chatrapati Shivaji’ for the younger (Y2K) kids…

This is a real incident… I was flabbergasted to see Addy - The irritating kid argue with his mom over Shivaji.

Addy’s mom a strong headed Maharashtrian lady, who tried to explain Addy that Shivaji was The BEST Maratha warrior and founder of the Maratha empire and he cannot be compared to anyone.


Addy thinks his Spiderman is cool.

Shivaji vs Spiderman (Addy’s Mom vs Addy)

Addy’s Mom: Shivaji had captured several forts.
Addy: Spiderman doesn’t need any forts…’Aai (mom in marathi) what are forts?? Where are they??

Addy’s Mom: Shivaji had an army of brave Marathas…
Addy: Spiderman doesn’t need anyone.. He alone can handle Venom, Green Goblin and others… and they are all scared of him.


Addy’s Mom: Shivaji spent weeks and months together to get to the base of a fort before capturing it.
Addy: Spiderman can swing and reach anyplace in zzzzooooooop…Psssk Psssk!

Addy’s Mom: Shivaji was a fine swordsman.
Addy: Spidey is a fine webby.. all he has to do is psssk psssk… and can pull any talwaar or guns from anyone.

Addy’s Mom: Shivaji and his men climbed steep cliffs using ropes tied to a reptile called ‘Ghorpad’ (Bengal Monitor).
Addy: Spidey does only Psssssk Psssssssk… and he can climb too… Psssk Psssk Psssk…

Addy’s Mom: No Aaditya… STOP IT NOW..SPIDEY is not real.. he is a fictional character…Shivaji was REAL.
Addy: Arrrey Aai Whatever it is.. Spidey may be fictional but still exists na…Spiderman has 1, 2 and now Spiderman 3 too!!

And finally it ended the usual way.. sssssssssssataaak… irritating boys get slapped by their moms. Now Addy thinks Shivaji is cool.
